Presidential Greeting

Greetings and welcome! On June 14, 1987, 25 Delta women chartered our chapter. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of college-educated women committed to constructive development of its members and to the public service with the primary focus on the Black community. We have just celebrated our 20th anniversary and going strong. As the seventh President, we have renewed our commitment to our sisterhood, our community, and service. Our membership is diverse in age, background, and profession, but we all share the common bond of sisterhood, scholarship and service to our community. Our service area extends across the cities and towns in the south shore counties of Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Nantucket, Norfolk and Plymouth. We have implemented and participated in numerous projects through the sorority’s Five-Point Thrust Program: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. We plan an active calendar of events and encourage you to visit our website frequently for information about our chapters’ upcoming events, programs, and fundraisers.
